Community Get Moving Challenge

The 6th Community Get Moving Challenge will begin on September 9. We encourage participants to attend the Run for the Arts Constitution 5K that morning at 8 a.m. and/or join the Smokin' Butt Bike Ride at 10 a.m. We will be in Weisiger Park from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. to hand out registration forms and packets. Anyone who attends the 5K and signs up for Get Moving will be entered into a drawing for two tickets to Starry Night Studio at the Community Arts Center.
The Get Moving Challenge is a free 8-week challenge to increase your physical activity. The non-competitive challenge is open to people of all ages and fitness levels and you may participate as an individual or on a team. All you need to do is track your minutes of physical activity and submit them to us each week and you will be eligible for prizes. If you complete the challenge with at least 7 weeks of activity, you will receive a free Get Moving t-shirt. Weekly communication and tips including healthy recipes will be shared with participants via email and hard copy at McDowell Wellness Center.
To join the challenge, complete the registration form and bring it to the kick-off or McDowell Wellness Center.
