Land-based Classes

We offer land-based fitness programs for everyone from individuals just starting to exercise to conditioned athletes. All of our instructors are trained and certified in specific fitness areas so they can deliver the newest skills to our members.

Among the classes we offer are:

aerobics class

Total Body Pump - This class consists of cardiovascular conditioning and strength endurance training. Participants will use hand weights, weighted body bars and resistance bands. The class length is one hour.

Kickboxing - This class is a high-energy cardiovascular workout that incorporates boxing moves and kicks. It is designed to improve cardiovascular conditioning, tone, strength and coordination. Boxing gloves and wraps are provided on a first-come, first- serve basis. A heavy bag is used during the class. The class length is one hour.

Killer Abs - This class is sure to get your abs in shape! Abdominal balls, weighted body bars and steps may be used in this class. The class length is 20 minutes.

P.A.C.E. (People with Arthritis Can Exercise) – This class is ideal for individuals who have arthritis and are wanting to gain more flexibility and strength. A release form from your doctor is required before beginning P.A.C.E. The class length is one hour.

Pilates Based Classes – This class consists of a series of non-impact, yet highly intense, controlled movements that promote muscular strength, flexibility, balance and coordination by focusing on the body’s core of the abdominals and back. The class length is one hour.

Power Toning – This class is sure to increase your endurance, strength and flexibility. Participants will use hand weights, weighted bars and resistance bands. An abdominal workout will be done at the end. The class length is one hour.

Spinning – This class is for individuals who like the challenge of a tough bike ride. Spin bikes will be available on a first come first serve basis. The class length is one hour. Try to get to class 15 minutes early.

Yoga – This class consists of gentle exercise that improves an individual's balance, coordination and flexibility. Yoga is recommended for a wide variety of health conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, asthma, fibromyalgia, seasonal affective disorder, migraines, menopause, stroke, diabetes and multiple sclerosis. Class length is one hour.

Wild Card – This class varies with the instructor. Anything goes. Class length is one hour.
